From the Flaro tool shop to a group plant
Phoenix Mecano Plastic S.r.l. was founded in 1999, when the Phoenix Mecano group took over the toolmaking and mold-making operations of the former Flaro enterprise in Sibiu. That heritage in precision toolmaking still sits at the heart of everything we do.
Over more than 25 years we have become a key manufacturing plant within the group. Today around 150 people work at our site on Europa Unita street in Sibiu, running injection molding, CNC machining, toolmaking and assembly across multiple shifts for customers throughout Europe and beyond.
The Phoenix Mecano group
Founded in 1975 and headquartered in Stein am Rhein, Switzerland, Phoenix Mecano is a globally active technology group, listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange since 1988. Our Sibiu plant belongs to its Enclosure Systems division.
Enclosure Systems
Protective enclosures and human-machine-interface solutions. Our Sibiu plant contributes manufacturing to this division, alongside the Bopla and Rose brands.
